Environmental exorcists, blew the world a cataclysmic kiss

Failing to admit how ‘business-as- usual’ is just a tad delusional

Burgeoning contaminants bloom as dangerous problems loom:

Infestations, brightened crops, toxic fumes, seething smog

Unseasonal floods pester and halt, waterborne diseases fester and revolt

Even the scale of African droughts had little clout

in mobilizing the industrial states to progress action and debates

Environmental exorcists -armed with misguided priorities,

mistreat all forms of life, as world market commodities

Refusing to accept the violent effects of genetic pollution

on a nations’ health and farming solutions

Having also ignored the succession

of climatic catastrophes -with futile audacity,

on a globe that  grows ecologically poorer

as biodiversity becomes -  ever smaller and smaller and smaller.

Environmental exorcists, threw the entire worlds’ species into decaying abyss

with the ardent  pursuit of industrial enhancement-

as the key to all human advancement

Taking the stance of commercial denial and disbelief

Avoiding initiatives to reduce the harmful release

of carbon generated by fossil fuels and the heavy consumption of meat

Additional billions of tons - of carbon emissions,

Swirl and plume in the atmosphere

perhaps- just a fraction of the amount – already - up there

but nonetheless, building up – year -upon year -upon year.
